Kim Everest
Catering Manager
Never known to do anything small, Kim is the powerhouse planner behind multiple successful ventures.
A move from Toronto to Mexico in 2008 set Kim on a new path in restaurant management and catering. First at NumberFOUR restaurant, then at Chili Bang Bar, both in Guadalajara, Mexico.
It was there she collaborated with many of the international chefs that would join her back in Toronto.
Since expanding ME & JULIO’s operations to Toronto, Kim has been busy. She spearheads the groundbreaking kitchen partnership with Bellwood Health Services.
Together with Lexy, Kim runs one of a kind, private and corporate events across both the GTA and Mexico.
Kim is a force to contend with in her industry!

Alexis (Lexy) White
Catering Manager
Lexy headed up ME & JULIO’s Mexican locations in Ajijic (Guadalajara) and Puerto Vallarta.
In 2022, her chef husband, Julio Ramirez, gained Canadian working status and the couple moved to Toronto full time. Lexy now works alongside Kim in Toronto.
Together, Kim and Lexy help clients run one of a kind private and corporate events across both the GTA and Mexico.

Chef Huy
Executive Chef, Bellwoods.
Torontonians will know Chef Huy from his time heading up the kitchens at King West hot spots, Fred’s Not Here and Red Tomato, as well as Big Daddy in Richmond Hill.
Classically trained, Chef Huy is versed in the techniques of many different global cuisines. His culinary career has taken him to Boston, Louisiana, and Ajijic, Mexico.
Today he is back in Toronto where he brings his talents, knowledge and expertise to the ME & JULIO kitchen.
Chef Julio
Now in Toronto and Mexico.
Chef Julio Ramirez graduated from ECI Culinary Institute in Guadalajara in 2015. He and his wife Lexy decided to open ME & JULIO in 2017 in Ajijic. It didn’t take long for Julio to become one of the most popular chefs in town.
The company started getting calls from as far away as Puerto Vallarta. Chef Julio ended up being booked solid between Guadalajara, Ajijic and Puerto Vallarta’s private oceanside villas. Catering on both private and commercial boats as well as large projects aboard super yachts.
Julio is passionate about fusion and is well-versed in many genres, however his Classic Mexican cuisine is the best in or out of Mexico!
Chef Steve
Chef Steve brings a deep understanding of corporate catering, banquets, fine dining and event organization to the ME & JULIO team. From 11+ years of training in the hotel industry, he has done it all.
He apprenticed under top chefs at Oliver & Bonacini, Old Mill Inn & Spa and Pangaea Restaurant in Toronto.
As well, the Marriott in India and Inn at Laurel Point in B.C.

Chef Laura
Chef Laura has been known in the industry for the series of eclectic boutique restaurants she owned and operated with her late husband, Johnny K.
Pan on Danforth, Lolita’s Lust on Danforth, Gus on Bay Street, Tomi-Kro in Leslieville and The Playpen on Gerrard.
Her memorable dishes spanning the culinary globe, attracted a star-studded stream of visitors.
Notably, Jennifer Lopez, Mick Jagger, Harrison Ford, Colin Farrell and the cast of Saturday Night Live.
Today, Laura takes great pride in cooking at Bellwood Health Services as part of ME & JULIO’s groundbreaking kitchen partnership.
Chef David
Chef David hails from beautiful Kenya.
Torontonians will know him for his kitchen talents at more than a dozen restaurants.
To name a few, Chiado on College Street, Fred’s Not Here and Red Tomato, two hot spots on King Street West.
In 2006, he joined forces with Chef Greg Couillard to form Manyata on Avenue Road and later Couillard’s Spice Room and Chutney Bar in Yorkville.
In 2013, Chef David joined Greg Couillard and Kim Everest at NumberFOUR in Ajijic, Mexico.
For many summers he worked at the exclusive Almara Beach Club in Montenegro, cooking meals for the rich and famous.
In 2017 Chef David went back to Kenya to consult in the opening of one of the first local high end steak houses called The Local Grill. He also took on the role of Executive Chef at Lord Erroll in Nairobi City, Kenya.
In 2020, Lord Errol was named one of the Top 50 Destination Restaurants Worldwide.
Today, Chef David splits his time between his new St. Catherine’s restaurant NGANGA and is one of the integral creative forces on the ME & JULIO team.
Chef Leroy
Chef Leroy comes to ME & JULIO with over 30 years of experience in all facets of cooking and food prep management.
His exceptional record features such notable establishments as the Sheraton and Wyndham Bristol Hotels and Woodbine Entertainment.
Chef Leroy specializes in Caribbean menu design and is a true asset to the ME & JULIO team.
Ariel (Cook)
Ariel is a classically trained cook through Humber College, excelling from butchering to baking and can shuck a mean oyster!
Ariel immediately fit in with our team at Bellwood Rehab as he specifically chooses nuturing healthcare kitchens over the downtown hustle. He gets such joy from the relationships he develops in wellness environments, though we still drag him out to shuck oysters for us at private events!
Ariel is a true pleasure to have on the ME & JULIO team.
Marlex (Cook)
Marlex is our own Cinderella Story.
Starting off elbow deep in the dish pit, Marlex trained hard and worked his way up.
All that effort paid off, as he is now one of ME & JULIO’s valued cooks.
We absolutely love seeing our team excel and with Marlex, the proof really is in the pudding.
